Costumes…

A few people have commented on the photo of me in my new costume in the last blog!) . It’s by a new designer here in Cairo, they are called 'Oriental Moon in Cairo' and are based in Nasr City, Cairo. They are just starting out really- but have some nice and funky ideas.

You can see some shots of me modelling some of their costumes at their website www.orientalmooncairo.com/diva.html . There are more pics under the 'malika collection' too…………….

I even get a mention in their 'friends' page! I'm looking forward to their new collection so I can go pose in lots of lovely costumes again for a day!!!! Quite like this type of modelling work!!!!

Here's a taste of their funky cossies!!!!!..................

Hi Lorna! I am happy to rfead your blogs from time to time. I am also a dancer (and singer, etc) and I make costumes. I KNOOOOW it is a "forum post" thing but I need some help: I am looking for the plastic/molded bra bases that e.g. the new cairo moon designers and Sahar and Eman etc. use. Some said you can even have it in any underwear shop in cairo. Well, we badly need tons of such bra bases here in my country . haven't you seen or heard anything like them in the stores? My friend is going to Cairo in April and she would buy some for me - well, I tried emailing Safti but he did not reply and I think if I ordered from him it would be more expensive. He is in Alexandria anyway. It would be very nice and kind from you if you could please ask Eman or the next costume designer you meet on where to get these... I would not like to trouble you with such "pleas" but I have almost given up finding the bra bases (I think they have it in one-size andyou cut em up... I really don't know but it is plastic). Thank you for your reply! I hope to meet, see you some time in Egypt! I am going possibly in N ovember to one of the festivals to learn...:) Of couirse you don't have to post my comment on reading it but please send me a quick reply, maybe you know someone who I could ask. Thx! Veron
