Learn arabic with CD's

http://www.michelthomas.co.uk/arabic.htm

I love it.............. I can't recommend this course enough...

I am still working my way through it... but even the intial 2 CD's taught me things I didn't know after living here in Cairo for over 4 years. The instruction is easy to follow... and learn and use straight away. They use Egyptian 'ammeya' ie what you need for life and work in Cairo! It's worth every penny!

If you want to learn to speak arabic THIS is the way to do it!

I used this course (ie Michel Thomas) for french years ago... and it really worked... after 8 hours listening to the cd's in the car i could understand and speak passable french (its gone now- not used it for years- but thats my fault- not the course!) I have been waiting ages for the arabic version to come out and am so happy to have it now and that its in Egyptian dialect!!!

I'm not good with foreign languages.

I do English and Afrikaans (similar to Dutch) thats it.

Thanks SOOO much Laura for sharing this.
I'm a Brit living at Ain Sokhna, speaking English with my Egyptian husband and using "kitchen Arabic" with the guy who works for us and our driver.
This is despite living in this country for 15 years which is shameful! Sadly my hubby isn't very good at teaching Arabic to a foreigner, which is why I've not progressed much.
When I checked out your link this morning I was delighted and have downloaded all of the Arabic courses.
I've never enjoyed such a relaxed and easy method of teaching and I have no doubt that this will finally get me to a proper level of communication in Arabic.
Thanks a lot again.
Judy :-)

Now you know my secret! I learnt some very useful Arabic in just 4 months and Michel Thomas was key.

I was blogging about learning the language a while back but I never got the chance to talk about how great these methods are:

I'm also a big fan of Learn Arabic with Maha - for learning to read and write, standard arabic, and a really fun insight into Arabic culture:
